Our proposed solution included setting up a new AWS account in line with the Well Architected framework. We configured the AWS infrastructure including S3, Glacier, VPC & Storage Gateway. Rebura configured lifecycle policies to move data from S3 to glacier when it was unused for a set amount of time.
Our team then began working with Mynt and their internal IT to configure backup jobs on their new Synology Diskstation, which would cache local versions of files and would run the backup jobs to S3.
Rebura also included a Snowball to ingest archive data from the existing USB drives. Storage Gateway is attached to an S3 bucket and configured as file gateway. Site to site VPN is configured between office and AWS to access Storage Gateway. Users can then connect to Storage Gateway to access Archive data stored in S3 over SMB share (Windows and Mac compatible).
Key features for Mynt:
Access management & account setup
Configuration of security groups, password policies, access keys, IAM access, root account usage
Documentation of application flows, dependencies, backup procedures, RTOs & RPOs
Monitoring & encryption
