Migration Case Study

Saragossa engaged Rebura to help move their IT systems forward: Office 365 and EBS migration; workspaces; security audits and improvements – centrally managed AV and Mimecast; AWS setup for Backup and DR; GDPR consultancy; and IT support.

The challenge

As a rapidly expanding company, it was important that Saragossa invested in IT early, in order to get the right systems in place to help move the company forward. As a recruitment agency, it’s important that Saragossa’s staff are able to focus on their day to day role and not be hampered by IT issues. There are also several regulatory issues facing recruitment companies which it is important to consider.

The solution

Rebura performed the following for Saragossa:

• AWS – all users fully using Workspaces for desktops, allowing simple user setup and security to be maintained across multi-site locations
• Migrated all of their emails to Office 365 with zero downtime
• Implemented Mimecast – to archive and secure their emails
• Amazon Web Services – Backup and DR solution designed and implemented
• Fully outsourced IT support – With 24×7 monitoring and remote support
• Migrated their main file server to AWS EBS – with a local sync tool so users notice no difference
• Installed a managed anti-virus solution
• Refreshed outdated hardware
• GDPR – several factors in helping Saragossa work towards GDPR compliancy including MDM, bit locker, desktop lockdowns, web filtering, and permissions

As part of the migration to AWS Rebura were required to resolve a number of issues with the way that Saragossa utilised their various files. At the time of migration each user stored files locally on their desktops and the files were not secure or backed up. Rebura dealt with the file issues in a number of ways by identifying core business files that required access from only the office and migrated them to a secure Windows File Server within AWS. During the migration we also took a single active directory setup and created multiple sites in AWS for redundancy.

The results

Rebura have recommended and setup AWS and Office 365 for us and improved our systems’ speed and efficiency.

The IT setup at Saragossa has now dramatically improved and they have a solid system in place to facilitate their growth in the coming years.
